From Hampton-inspired exteriors and white-washed walls reminiscent of Greece, to fresh lines, textured bricks, and raw, rugged materials seen in cosmopolitan destinations, each element complements one another to create a perfectly imperfect space for memories to be made.

Carefully crafted and executed over two years, many elements of this home were sourced from a love affair with rare materials. Railway sleepers with an entire lifetime of journeys under their belt pulled into their final stop at Rolling Seas in the form of exposed beams that line the ceilings and serve as shelves in the intimate cellar door. Naturally weathered tapware that sat exposed to mother nature for months before installation stands proudly in the bathroom and kitchens. Repurposed brick from a knocked down building in Melbourne’s CBD can be appreciated throughout both dwellings. Rolling Seas was artfully weaved and crafted by the property’s owners in conjunction with head foreman, Aaron Waters.

Rolling Seas’ unique spaces will captivate and transport you to different tempos. The ground floor of the main residence can be used as a meeting place for fun and engaging play in the conversation pit and rumpus area, as well as a restorative escape in the wellness studio. If solitude is what you seek, enjoy some quiet time in the loft while reading or journaling. The Cubby is home to three alcove day beds and a TV for communal relaxation, while our beloved Wine Cellar is perfect for a buzzing nightcap. With each nook offering a specialised escape for tranquillity, peace, or socialisation, the home proves to be fit for all and shared with many.
